This past Wednesday in the middle of the night, two of the three Mallon boys went to El Farolito to order up some suizas to go. The two principals of Big Punch Media and artist Rico Deniro were behind them in line, and “piggy backed” their order.
“We’ll have what they’re having.”
This quickly escalated into an argument of who was the most realest bitch in the taco joint, and ended with an unlikely collaboration.
Big Punch Media broke out their gear, Rico Deniro gathered his wooden masks, and the Mallon Boys laser printed their lyrics. A music video was born. It is for the track “Smock” off the upcoming Hail Mary Mallon record.
Please enjoy some behind the scenes footage.
Full video coming soon.

The sixth episode of this thrilling new series is here! It is the summer of 1913 and F. Sean Martin was traversing the Middle East and Southwestern Asia by Camel with none other than RJ Reynolds, famed tobacco purveyor. It was on this trip that F. Sean invented pre-rolled cigarettes and RJ stole the idea. Also, RJ’s gypsy mistress took F. Sean’s camel’s photo with a bamboo Holga and then drew it with ink and watercolors for the package. She probably traced it, and her face ain’t as pretty as she thinks.

Jon Wurster spoke to Nick Flanagan in Toronto. The results are in!
Jon Wurster is a few things. His bread is buttered with drumming – as a member of Superchunk forclose to 20 years, and with the The Mountain Goats and Bob Mould amongst a sea of other worthy
names. Travelling the globe hitting skins is far from his only pasttime, as he also contributes articles to Modern Drummer magazine, Magnet and other reputable publications. His Superchunk tour diary on
their website is a worthy read chronicling their recent touring in support of their newest album, Majesty Shredding. Wait for it, there’s more: Mr.Wurster is also one half of Scharpling & Wurster, calling
regularly as various characters to the Scharpling-hosted Best Show On WFMU. The calls are marvels of long-form radio comedy that delve into absurdity, obscure references and the invented community
of Newbridge, New Jersey. He was kind enough to agree to eat Korean food with me and discuss his various vocations. Note that the “Springsteen Call” is referenced, an hour long tour-de-”farce” detailing
a ‘tell all’ Bruce Springsteen bio. It can be heard an hour into the show here: here: – the call starts at 2:02]. I could get into the story of introducing myself and attempting to gain a rapport with Jon as I
navigated him through the bowels of Toronto’s subway system, but that one’s “for the vaults”, because ultimately it really doesn’t provide you, the reader, with anything. Flanagan out!
